Congratulations to Petra Svab, for receiving an award from Queensland Disability Services Minister Annastacia Palaszczuk this week, 15 September 2009. Petra was honoured for improving the quality of life for people with a disability at a Disability Action Awards ceremony in Brisbane.

Petra is a valued staff member of Deaf Services Queensland (DSQ) and has been making a big difference as the facilitator of a national community roadshow, delivering well-being workshops for deaf and hard of hearing Australians, in the lead-up to the 4th World Congress on Mental Health and Deafness, 28-30 October in Brisbane.
